Maitreyi Goswami was born in Mandvi, Kutch- Gujrat. Her father is Shrisharad Goswami, a 16th generation descendant of Mahaprabhu Shree Vallabhacharyaji. She has pursued B.A. and M.A. from Sampurnanand University, Varanasi. In addition to the academic studies, she has studied subjects like Justice, Sanskrit literature, Sankhya, Yoga, Mimansa, etc. under the guidance of Shri Awadhesh Shastriji and Shri Pankaj Shastriji.

Under influence western ideologies—individualism, liberalism, Marxism, Wokism et al, the world over traditional family systems and community organizations are collapsing. The founding rock of Hindu civilization has always been the kul parampara and varnashram dharma— not to be mistaken with caste system.

Islam and Christianity have both been attacking these age old systems of self organization of Hindu society because they were effective in resisting conversions to Islam and Christianity. Maitraiyi Goswami will talk about shastric prescriptions regarding these two institutions and discuss whether they still have any relevance in today’s India.
