Pakistani ISI and American CIA – An Alliance for Drug Trafficking

The America CIA earned the nickname Cocaine Incorporated for their involvement in drug trafficking. CIA was in bed with the drug cartels – helping them traffic drugs across the border into the United States. The tens of billions of dollars generated were used to finance black ops along with a whole range of other things.

Kiki Camarena was a DEA agent who got destroyed billions of dollars’ worth of drugs in Mexico. As a result, he was kidnapped, tortured and murdered by the Mexican drug cartels. The Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) used by the CIA to launder its drug money was founded by Agha Hasan Abedi, a Pakistani financier. As the mujahideen were created by the CIA and ISI in Afghanistan to fight the Soviets. The CIA also found it lucrative to shift the centre of drug trade from Latin America to Afghanistan. (The murder of DEA agent Kiki Camarena had opened a can of worms for the CIA). The mujahideen used to grow opium and sell it to CIA in exchange for arms that were used to fight the Soviets.

The cold war ended but the drug trade/trafficking never came to an end.

To this day (2023), Afghanistan’s opium poppy cultivation and harvest produces more than 90% of illicit heroin globally. American CIA and Pak ISI still run the drug trade to this day. Pak ISI budget doesn’t come from the govt but comes from the narcodollar. Pak ISI doesn’t need any funds from the govt.

It is said that as long as the drug trade in Afghanistan is controlled by CIA and ISI – the Pakistani state will sustain in one form or the other.  [Ref] [Ref]Narco-Terrorism and India’s Security By Kshitij Prabha, Associated Fellow, IDSA  [Ref]
